Confusingly not the same as York Playground, York Park is tucked off of busy Martin Luther King Jr. Way S. in a quiet residential area. Both parks get their name from the York subdivision that used to refer to this part of South Seattle. York was a prominent Seattle lawyer in the late 1800s.
A couple of benches, a picnic table and tidy native plantings make this a nice spot for a spring lunch. The flat paths are wheelchair- and stroller-friendly.
