Location: South Seattle
Address: S. Bradford St. and 31st Ave. S.
Acreage: 0.53

Trails lead up from the Rainier commercial district through mostly deciduous trees and native shrubs to Lake People Park. At the top, you’ll find yourself in a peaceful neighborhood park with views of the Rainier Valley below. There are a couple of benches, a picnic table and large boulders for seating.

A placard on-site offers a map of the park, discusses efforts to eliminate non-native plants and explains the origins of the park’s name, Xacua’bs, the first group thought to have settled near Lake Washington.
