A couple of benches, a picnic table and a handful of very tall evergreens make up William Grose Park near Madison Park. A paved trail winds through this park, which is the size of a residential lot, offering good wheelchair and stroller access from both side streets.

Other, more interesting, parks nearby include Denny Blaine Lake Park and Lakeview Park.

William Grose, considered an African American pioneer, helped establish Seattle’s central area in the mid-1800s.
