Located between the Madison Park and Madrona neighborhoods in east-central Seattle, you might think Denny Blaine Lake Park would offer access to Lake Washington. I was surprised to find that the “lake” is actually a small pond several blocks away from the real lake.
Not to be confused with Denny Blaine Park, Denny Blaine Lake Park has a busy duck population that greeted me in hopes of a stale bread meal.
There are benches around the pond and also under an old wooden shelter.
