Location: East-Central Seattle/Madison Park
Address: 1017 Lake Washington Blvd. East
Acreage: approx. 10 acres

Sitting at the southern entrance to the Washington Park Arboretum, the Washington Park Playfield is a park within a park. There’s so much to see at the Arboretum that the huge playfield can be easily overlooked, but this park has been beautifully redone just in the last year or two.

A full-size soccer field also encapsulates two baseball fields with small bleacher sections. Walk around the south end of the field, past the batting cages, and you’ll find a path that leads up to a flat concrete overlook and two additional exits. This cleverly opens up the Arboretum to walkers and runners from E. Madison St.

Other nearby parks are Prentis I. Frazier Park and Lakeview Park.
