I couldn’t get enough of the gorgeous trees covered in red, orange and yellow leaves lining a gravel path around this park. Recently renamed Virgil Flame Park, the nearly three-acre park is a lovely greenspace for Lake City residents.
A gravel path rings the flat lawn perfect for pick up games of soccer and Ultimate Frisbee. A nice playground sits at the western edge. Plans to add a skate park are also in the works.
Virgil was very active in the Lake City community.
