Kilbourne Park is not the most usable or accessible park for humans, but it’s an important piece of green space for fish and other wildlife as it connects the larger Fauntleroy Park with Fauntleroy Creek Ravine and finally the Puget Sound protecting Fauntleroy Creek.

Mr. Kilbourne was a dentist who established the Washington Dental Association in the late 1800s and a prominent local philanthropist. The city turned the land, which is adjacent to a former elementary school, into a park in the 1950s in his honor.
