Seattle has had a sister-city relationship with Nantes for more than 25 years. In 2005, we honored the French town by opening a new park in their honor in West Seattle.
If you speed by on busy Admiral Way, you’ll miss this sweet park that resembles a typical French public space. Carefully tended plants and a few larger trees dot the park, surrounding the benches that provide a spot to rest.
On the day I visited someone had raked the gravel into neat designs, reminding me of a Boules court.
