It’s dumping rain and the ankles of my jeans are getting wet from walking through soaked grass. But, I find myself lingering at Duwamish Waterway Park because this park is such a great surprise.
At the end of a street that’s a mix of industrial and residential in the South Park neighborhood, this park provides an acre and a half of refreshing green space and waterfront access.
I notice that there are several picnic tables and barbecues, so I picture this park lively with activity as neighborhood families enjoy a Sunday afternoon in the summer. That’s where I would spend a warm afternoon if I lived in this community.
