I actually already visited Bayview-Kinnear Park when I made my tour of Kerry Park a while back. But, the city has recently renamed the lower section and listed it as a separate park, so in my quest for accuracy I dropped by again to take some new pictures and see if anything has changed.
You can reach Bayview-Kinnear Park from Prospect St., but I prefer to check out the amazing views from Kerry Park and then take the long stairs down to Bayview-Kinnear. A great playground greets kids with climbing equipment and a fantastic slide. What I missed last time was the short climbing wall along one side that’s perfect for introducing older kids to bouldering.
This park also has a large grass field, a half basketball court and a softball backstop.
Queen Anne has many great playgrounds. A few that may be lesser known include Mayfair Park, Soundview Terrace and Ward Springs Park.
