Beacon Place is a fairly large stretch of undeveloped land that greets you when you exit to S. Dearborn S. from I-5. Right now it consists only of grass and several trees.
This is easily confused with Beacon Hill Playground, just a bit south, that offers more amenities including a playground.

I am a latecomer to your blog, and am enjoying it a lot.
I discovered you blog when I looked on a map and learned that I’d been walking past Belmont Place at least once a week without ever knowing it’s a park. An internet search for more information brought me here.
