Acreage: 3.0

I had sworn off writing about ravines and greenspaces early in this project when I came across so many parks that were inaccessible to visitors, so I wasn’t planning to cover Maple School Ravine. But, I happened to stumble across a staircase that bisects this banana-shaped park and allows ambitious stair climbers a way to check out this area.

It is an ambitious climb, but the staircase allows access between the higher and lower neighborhoods in this part of south Beacon Hill.

There are probably also some nice views to reward those of you who make it to the top. I have to admit I didn’t take on the climb. (I blame my stroller. And fear of not being able to walk the next day.)
