Acreage: 1.0

I usually don’t write about Seattle parks designated as “natural areas” because they often aren’t really accessible to visitors. But, Pelly Place Natural Area in West Seattle is one of the few with a short, but accessible trail in the middle. This is a great time of year to visit this lovely trail, as the leaves are starting to change on the many deciduous trees filling this gentle ravine.

If you’re a dog owner and have exhausted the trails at Lincoln Park, you’ll enjoy Pelly Place for a quiet alternative with your pup. It’s also worth checking out nearby Lowman Beach Park for waterfront views.
