Address: 11399 Seola Beach Dr. S.W.
Acreage: 8.8

Look at Seola Park on a map and you’re teased into thinking this is some wonderful, undiscovered waterfront park in the most southwestern corner of Seattle. So, I was disappointed to find out that while this large park appears to run all the way down to Puget Sound, there’s no public access to the waterfront.

What we’re left with is basically a small, flat park dotted with tall trees at the top of the hill and a big, fairly inaccessible ravine. An unfriendly sign pointing out that the beach is all private property greets you at the bottom of Seola Beach Dr.

The top section of this park does have some nice peek-a-boo views of the Sound, and it’s a lovely place for a picnic in the shade on a hot day.
