Race to 300 is on…

After a year and a half of this project, I have visited 273 parks in the city of Seattle. My ultimate goal is still to visit every park in the city, but I have a new obstacle coming up shortly and so I have set a short-term goal.

Keen-eyed readers may have spotted an orange Bob stroller in some of the photos I’ve taken of the parks. My two-year-old son has been carted around to almost all the parks I’ve visited over the past months of this project.

Here’s the kicker… my brood is going to grow from one to three sometime this summer. Yes, I’m expecting twins. What does this mean for my project? I’m kicking it into high gear to try to hit 300 parks before these two babies arrive. That’s 27 parks in less than 10 weeks.

And then, after I figure out how to parent a toddler and twin babies simultaneously, I’ll be back out with the Bob (this time a double) to finish off my dwindling list of parks.

Stay tuned… and thanks for reading.
