Just behind Northgate Mall is a a cluster of great community resources: a library branch, a children’s play area and a beautiful community center–all sparkling new.
Northgate Park encompasses the space around the buildings, but it also includes a little trail on the south end that passes near Thorton Creek. My favorite touch was the three whimsical bird houses perched high in the trees above the trail.
The new play area is perfect for younger kids and a great place for a sunny day. But, if rain stays in the forecast, take advantage of all the kids and adult activities inside the Northgate Community Center.
