Acreage: 0.8

I learned a new vocabulary word writing this post. Busking: the practice of performing in public places for tips and gratuities. Buskers may also be known as street performers, street musicians, minstrels or troubadours. (Wikipedia)

I took an out-of-town visitor to Victor Steinbrueck Park to show off our city’s buskers a little while back. I don’t think she was very impressed with the talent the day we stopped by. But, she did take a lot of pictures of the view, which is really what this park is known for.

Even longtime residents enjoy the view from this downtown Seattle park of Elliott Bay, Bainbridge Island and the Olympic Mountains, especially on a clear sunny day.

I like the views of course, but I think the people–or busker–watching is just as good.
