Under I-5 and directly west of the University Bridge is a little park perfect for picnics called South Passage Point Park. Even the Parks Department sign indicating the park’s location says simply “picnics” as its main feature.

Don’t take the sign’s word for it, visit this sweet park for a picnic of your own. There’s plenty to take in while you sit under a large willow tree just feet from the shore. You can see boats crossing under the University Bridge or watch the large ships docked for restoration on the piers.

You can even watch your doppelganger having a picnic on the other side of the shore at its sister, North Passage Point Park.
