Being inside the quaint Parsons Gardens on Queen Anne feels like being in a romantic comedy. The kind you can’t convince any man in your life to go with you to see.

I picture a woman sitting alone on one of the park’s nearly hidden benches surrounded by blooming shrubs and suddenly her long lost love appears by total coincidence (!) on the gravel path in front of her. Instead of embracing her, he picks a single bloom from a nearby rosebush to present to her, as if to atone for his sins.

Okay, maybe it’s just my imagination. But, Parsons Gardens is a beautiful, and you must admit, romantic spot. And, many brides and grooms feel so as well, because it is a popular summer wedding site.

The garden is small at less than half an acre, but it is absolutely overflowing with beautiful plants, flowers and a few large canopy trees. The hydrangeas, one of my favorites, are in bloom, filling every sightline with blue and white flowers. In fact, the park is so filled with vegetation that I can barely get the stroller through some sections of the path.

Plenty of places to hide and wait for your lover.
