Acreage: 1.5

Talk about an intriguing name for a park. “I’m taking the kids to Buy Crack, honey. Home for dinner!”

This park, also on Queen Anne, is not at all easy to find. I circled the neighboring streets a few times pushing the stroller up a one-way street only to discover that it took me in a circle right back where I started. Finally, I saw a short residential street that dead-ended next to some impressive homes. I almost kept walking, but I caught a glimpse of a Parks Department maintenance truck as I passed and decided to take one more look.

I’m so glad I did.

Bhy Kracke Park has to be one of the best hidden gems in Seattle. The views rival Kerry Park, but there were no tourists around when I visited, just a couple of people eating an early lunch and enjoying an incredible view of downtown Seattle, Lake Union and the Cascades.

The park has a few benches, a little grassy area and a walking path that leads down to the lower section of this park, where you’ll find a playground. But, the best place to hang out at Bhy Kracke is to take a seat on edge of the concrete railing and soak in the views.
