It’s difficult to distinguish between Pipers Creek Natural Area and Carkeek Park. On a map of this area of Northwest Seattle, it looks like Pipers Creek are fingers on a hand, with the hand being Carkeek Park.
At more than 200 acres, Carkeek dwarfs the little Pipers Creek Natural Area, but together the two parks provide miles of wonderful hiking trails. This map shows the best ways to access the trails. You can hike all the way from the “fingertip” of Pipers Creek Natural Area to the shore of Puget Sound.
