Location: South Park
Address: 736 S. Cloverdale St.
Acreage: approx. 0.3

Next to Cesar Chavez Park, a great community gathering place in the South Park neighborhood, you’ll find this skate park tucked up against the freeway.

Built in 2008, River City Skate Park is the only skate park in South Park and one of only a few in South Seattle. The concrete skate park is 4,000 square feet and was designed by Gridline, a common name among Seattle-area skate parks. Surrounded by a little bit of grass for resting or watching, the skate park is covered in colorful graffiti.

The design of this park, which is also known as StarGate is simple and elegant. Skate around an outer loop (check out the cool doorways) and through a center cross.
