Patients seeking solace will find a stunning view of downtown Seattle and Elliott Bay from Harborview Park.
It’s easy to miss if you’re not actually a patient, visitor or employee at Harborview Medical Center on Seattle’s First Hill. From the Emergency Room entrance, cross the street and take the cement steps down into the park.
The gorgeous views are only visible when you enter the park. On the sunny day I visited nurses, doctors and techs were enjoying the sun on their lunch breaks.
The park is interesting in its shapes and use of concrete planters. The lawn is flat and inviting for picnics or a little sunning.
I love that the park is very accessible with ramps that lead down to let visitors of all abilities appreciate this peaceful space.
